2014 Scholarship Recipients

RREF works with a host of generous donors to administer scholarships to RRHS college bound seniors. We are proud to announce that over $45,000 in 41 scholarships was awarded to the class of 2014.

Chloe Alibeckoff was awarded the Rocky River High School Class of 1986 Scholarship in the amount of $1,000. Chloe is a pharmacy major at the University of Pittsburgh.
Laura Anderer-Armstrong was awarded the Julia Litzler Mayer Scholarship in the amount of $1,000. Laura is studying biology at Cleveland State University.
Heather Bonsky was awarded the James J. Bartolozzi Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $500. Heather is attending Miami University where she is studying business.
James Brown was awarded the Lester C. Roig Jr. Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $1,000. James is studying finance at the University of Cincinnati.
Angelica Buczkowski was awarded the Christina Mueller, DDS Scholarship in the amount of $1,000. Angelica is attending The College of Wooster.
Alexis Burnley was awarded the Susan Thibo Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $1,000. She is in the pre-medical studies and music programs at Miami University.
Adrienne Copa was awarded the Balancing Act Scholarship in the amount of $1,000. Adrienne is studying chemical engineering at Penn State University.
Ellen Corcoran was awarded the Moriah Lydon Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $1,000. Ellen is majoring in pre-medicine (pathology) at Kenyon College.
Kailynn Donati was awarded the Mary Kay Wilhelmy Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $2,000. Kailynn is majoring in business/marketing at John Carroll University.
Christina Drobney was awarded the RRHS Alumni Association Scholarship, a memorial to Rex L. Zirbes, in the amount of $1,000. Christina is studying journalism at the University of Cincinnati.
Liesl Fahrenkopf was awarded the Rocky River Masonic Lodge #703 Scholarship in the amount of $500. Liesl is in the pharmacy program at the University of Toledo.
Maria Franko was awarded the Kathleen Goepfert Scholarship in the amount of $500. Maria is studying environmental science at Northeastern University.
Greg Ginley was awarded the Lois Van Gastel Brown Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $500. Greg is studying architecture and fine arts at the University of Cincinnati.
Cheyenne Gregg was awarded the RRHS Class of 1953 Scholarship in the amount of $1,000. Cheyenne is studying dentistry at Ohio University.
Cassandra Hamker was awarded the RRHS Class of 1965 Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $1,000. Cassandra is in the nursing program at Ohio University.
Effie Henry was awarded the Awarded the Rocky River Chamber of Commerce Scholarship in the amount of $500. She is attending Denison University and is studying marketing and advertising.
Emily Hubbell was awarded the Rocky River Chamber of Commerce scholarship in the amount of $500. Emily is attending Miami University where she is majoring in business.
Lauren E. Ihnot was awarded the Jane L. Balla Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $750. Lauren will study early childhood education a Bowling Green State University.
Michael Ittu was awarded the Nev Chandler Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $1,000. Michael is attending Miami University and is studying political science, communications, and journalism.
Kara Johanson was awarded the Melissa Herstrum Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $2,500. Kara is pursuing nursing at The Ohio State University.

Dominic Liva was awarded the Lawrence J. Badar Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $1,500. Dominic is studying mechanical engineering at the University of Dayton.
Nicole Lochner was awarded the RRHS Alumni Association Scholarship in the amount of $275. Nicole is attending Kent State University.
Ian Lupica was awarded the Alice Ferry Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $1,000. Ian is studying environmental science at Wittenberg University.
Alexandra Manoloff was awarded the Chan Engineering Scholarship in the amount of $500. Alex is studying mechanical engineering at Princeton University.
Tuyaa Montgomery was awarded the Dan and Lee Ludwin Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $1,500. Tuyaa is studying biology at the University of Chicago.
Enxhi Myrtaj was awarded the Nancy Mihocik Memorial Honorarium Scholarship in the amount of $1,750. Enxhi is attending The Ohio State University where she is in the arts and sciences program.
Robert Olander was awarded the George A. PUrdy, Jr. Scholarship in the amount of $1,500. Robert will be studying engineering at The Ohio State University.
Justin Reynolds was awarded the Mariah Lydon Scholarship in the amount of $1,000. Justin is attending Youngstown State University and is majoring in education.
Alexandria Riegelsberger was awarded the Saunders Family Scholarship in the amount of $1,000. Alexandria is studying education at Ohio University.
Eric Salberg was awarded the Brad McCoy Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $1,000. Eric is studying engineering and computer science at The Ohio State University.
Hawken Sawyer was awarded the RRHS Class of 1953 Scholarship in the amount of $1,000. Hawken is attending Wheaton College where he is studying Christian education and ministry.
Carson Shaw was awarded the Nev Chandler Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $1,000. Carson is in the creative writing and women’s and gender studies programs at Ohio Wesleyan University.
William Spallino was awarded the Do Your Best Scouting & Scholar Award in the amount of $1,335. Will is attending Case Western Reserve University where he is majoring in engineering and music and pursuing career in acoustics.
Anna Stanton was awarded the Jack Harris Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $750. Anna is attending The Ohio State University where she is studying material science and engineering.
Garrett Stefani was awarded the Joseph V. DeGrandis Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $500. Garrett is studying business administration and finance at The Ohio State University.
Forrest Stoddard was awarded the Do Your Best Scouting and Scholar Award Scholarship in the amount of $1,335. Forrest is studying business administration at Kent State University.
Joseph F. Suchecki was awarded the Harold P. Murton Scholarship in the amount of $500. Joey is a business major at Muskingum University.
Jacob Tisdale was awarded the Roger Davidson Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $500. Jacob is studying communications at Ohio University.
McKenna Turk was awarded the Nev Chandler Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $1000. McKenna is attending Miami University where she studies communications.
Joseph Weger was awarded the RRHS Alumni Association Scholarship in honor of Dr. Robert C. Cawrse in amount of $500. Joe is studying engineering at The Ohio State University.
Mitchell Williams was awarded the Mary Kay Wilhelmy Scholarship in the amount of $2,000. Attending the University of Cincinnati, Mitchell will study sports administration and business.
